On Sunday, ten of our Red Bus Cartridges Team braved the elements and have successfully completed the Royal Parks half marathon, to help raise vital funds for The British Heart Foundation. The London Royal Parks half marathon is a central London half marathon, around some of the capital’s world-famous landmarks, and four of London’s eight Royal – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.
Red Bus Cartridges formed a partnership with The British Heart Foundation earlier in the year and pledged to raise £50,000 to help support the pioneering research that has already helped transform the lives of thousands of people living with heart and circulatory conditions.
As well as collecting charitable donations from colleagues, friends and family, the Red Bus runners have also held a raffle to help reach our target. So far the runners have raised a fantastic £3,000 for this great charity, with donations still coming in.
Red Bus Cartridges are also donating £1 per every Red Bus, and Kodak ink and toner cartridge purchased via our website. We’ve also participated in the BHF’s Bag it, Beat it campaign, donating unwanted items to be sold in the local BHF shop. We are on target to achieve our £50,000 target for The British Heart Foundation.
Donna Wingfield, Operations Manager and one of the runners said, ‘The race was tough, battling the wind and the rain; however it was for such a worthy cause and raising the amount we have, has made it all worthwhile.’
